So Sad

I saw the saddest thing today.  A young boy was riding his bike when he was hit by a car.  It was clear the boy was from a worker family and only the wealthy should be driving cars, so the boy was clearly in the wrong for not being respectful of his betters. The children of this time are spoiled and do not know their place, which puts them in situations where they cause trouble for others.

The boy’s mother came running over in tears, yelling at the driver, also not understanding her place.  She had called for medical care, wasting society’s resources.  When the medics got there, she pleaded with them to do all they could to help her child.  Not once did she get on her knees and pray to God to heal her child.  Instead of being productive and asking for a priest to come and pray for her or ask others to join her in prayer, she was wasting resources better served for helping the wealthy.

I walked over to her and tried to get her to join me on my knees in prayer.  She shook me off and instead focused on wasting time talking with the medic, as if they could do something for her son.  I prayed loudly that she would receive wisdom from God and see that only through pure faith to Him could she ever hope for her child’s recovery.

She actually seemed offended by this for some reason.

I will not go into the police questioning I went through, where they seemed obsessed over the idea that the driver was drunk.  They were trying to say the driver was in the wrong, ignoring his wealth and social status. The driver was even wearing a cross, while the boy on the bike had no Christian markings.

Even the police in this time seem to not understand their place.
